An attempt to jam the internet with opinions based on educated assumptions and beliefs on various topics. A challenge to anyone listening to question my ideas and share their voice.

My desire is to create a dialogue, and to motivate people to think
about things that appear obvious to me.
Chapter # 1 . . .
Just because I have been silent does not mean I have nothing to say. The silence, itself, is the log jamming the river of information and ideas, and the internet is already full of it . . . A symbol; silence is a form of speech protected by the Constitution and the 1st Amendment. Is anyone listening? These are the same laws that protect all forms of speech.
Everyday the world is filled with ordinary and bizarre events. We accept the reports by the media and others without question. Things are happening all over the world that can not be explained by the obvious. Will we continue to believe that it is a weather balloon, just because someone says it is true? Arsenio Hall used to open his show with a monologue that asked questions that made you contemplate and say “mmmm …” Therefore, I if I mention an idea that makes you wonder and say “mmmm . . .” I’ll call it a . . . “Hall It”.
Nothing defines the human race like the concept of good and evil. A survey recently reported that 80% of Americans believe in Angels and Demons. It is not a not a far leap of logic to think that most people accept the idea. To say that there is an ultimate good and an ultimate evil begs the question. For good and evil can be judged on a sliding scale where the levels of good can be tempered by evil, and the levels of evil can be tempered by good. A leap of faith would have you believe in GOD and the DEVIL. An examination of the words “good and evil” reveal that if you drop the “o” in good it becomes god, and if you add a “d” to evil it becomes devil. I believe that a path can be forged toward good or evil, and each of us has our own way along that journey. Every person in the world has different beliefs. Each religion creates a unique passageway toward that way of life. People who claim to see Angels and Demons in their own image are following their own path. Perhaps they are not as crazy as one would think.
Recently in the news President Bush held an arrival ceremony on the south lawn of the White House for Pope Benedict XVI. The celebration included a small band of musicians playing traditional historical instruments and wearing “Red Coats.” I’ll call it a . . . “Hall It”. Why would President Bush invite a band of “Red Coats” to the White House as representatives of American soldiers in the Revolutionary War? Now, I do not have a problem with the any branch of the military, the band, or the white wigs worn by the soldiers. My objection is to the red coats. What I learned in grade school was that the American soldiers wore uniforms that were brown, or black, or blue but never red. History has taught us that America was conceived and founded on the belief of freedom and justice for all. A war was fought against the British who sent armies of “Red Coats” to our land to force the people into submission. Men like George Washington and Paul Revere kept the people on alert with their cries that the “Red Coats were coming … The Red Coats were coming.” Why was a symbol of hatred and oppression deemed an appropriate representation of American history?
President Bush will probably say that he did not know what was happening at the event, but I do not accept that answer. What do you think . . . ? Because this photo appeared on the internet web page, About.com:Catholicism, I am willing to give the Pope and the Catholic Church the benefit of the doubt. So . . . what I want to know is why the President invited the Pope and the Red Coats to the same party. He could have invited any of the other military bands to represent America at the reception.
Does that human race have a false sense about what is right with the world? Have we learned any lessons from history? Or will we continue to believe that it is a weather balloon, just because someone says it is true? Still so many questions remain unanswered and so many questions yet to be asked. I challenge you to comment on my silence or any other issue that I have mentioned that makes you think.
